Install ShopGuide on Shopify

Welcome to ShopGuide! This guide walks you through installing and setting up your AI-powered chat widget in a few minutes.

Prerequisites​

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • A Shopify store (any plan)
  • Admin access to your Shopify store
  • Basic familiarity with the Shopify admin panel

Installation Steps​

1. Install from Shopify App Store​

  1. Visit ShopGuide on the Shopify App Store
  2. Click "Add app" on the ShopGuide listing
  3. Review the requested permissions and click "Install app"

2. Onboarding​

After installation, Shopify redirects you into the ShopGuide admin app for a short onboarding flow:

  1. How did you hear about us? — a quick survey of your traffic source
  2. Contact details — leave a name, email, and phone number so the ShopGuide team can reach you if something needs attention
  3. You then land on your Dashboard

3. Verify Installation​

To confirm everything is working:

  • Navigate to your ShopGuide dashboard and check that data is populating
  • Verify the app appears in your Shopify admin sidebar
  • Add the "ShopGuide Chat" section to a theme page (see the Quick start guide) and confirm the widget loads on your storefront
