Install ShopGuide on Shopify
Getting ShopGuide installed and doing its first useful thing takes a few minutes. Here's the whole path.
Before you start
You'll need a Shopify store on any plan, admin access to it, and a basic sense of your way around the Shopify admin panel.
Installing it
Visit ShopGuide on the Shopify App Store, click "Add app" on the listing, review the permissions it's asking for, and click "Install app."
The onboarding that follows
Shopify drops you straight into the ShopGuide admin app afterward, and the first thing you'll see is a short flow: a quick question about how you heard about ShopGuide, then a spot to leave a name, email, and phone number so the team can reach you if something needs attention. After that, you land on your dashboard.
Making sure it actually worked
Open the dashboard and check that data is starting to populate. Confirm ShopGuide shows up in your Shopify admin sidebar. And add the ShopGuide Chat section to a theme page — see the Quick start guide — to confirm the widget actually loads on your storefront.
Once you're set up
If something goes wrong
App not showing up in your admin? Refresh the browser and check the Apps section, and confirm you actually have admin permissions on the store. Installation failing outright? Check your connection, or try a different browser — some ad blockers and privacy extensions interfere with the OAuth flow.
Need a hand beyond that? See Support & escalation for how to reach the team.
